Thank you, Travel Oregon. You saw us when we were small and you have supported us as we have grown. Because of your generosity Yachats Pride pays every performer for their art, feeds everyone who walks through the door, and helps keep our events open to all.

They believe what we believe, that Queer joy belongs everywhere in Oregon, including the smallest towns on the coast. And as we grow our mission to support Pride in rural communities across the state, Travel Oregon is helping us get there too. We are so proud to call them a partner and so grateful to be what they names us, “a true example of what it means to be a proud Oregonian.”

thanks to these folks!

Our performers travel to Yachats from across Oregon and they deserve to feel taken care of when they get here. These generous hotels and lodging partners make that possible by donating accommodations so every artist who steps onto our stage has a safe, comfortable place to rest. That kind of hospitality is what makes Yachats the kind of place people want to come back to. Drift Inn, Adobe Resort, Tiny Tranquility, Yachats Inn, The Yatel Motel

We Created Something Rare. A Pride Event with a Dedicated Space for Trans Voices.

The Trans Tea Party has been part of Yachats Pride since the very beginning. Every year on Saturday afternoon we pull up chairs, set the table, and make space for a conversation that does not happen often enough — especially in rural communities.

It is a panel. It is a gathering. It is a meal shared among people who show up for each other. Transgender community members, their families, allies, and neighbors sit together and talk. Really talk. Straight cisgender retirees come back year after year. Parents of trans kids find each other for the first time. People who have never been in a room like this discover they wanted to be.

Every year something shifts in that room. We have watched it happen since 2017 and it never gets less meaningful.

None of it happens without the generous local businesses who donate the food that turns this gathering into a real community meal. Sandwiches, sweets, something warm, something shared. It is a small thing that means everything to the people in that room.

We are so proud of this program and so grateful to these businesses for making it a special and enduring part of Yachats Pride.

Old Friends and New

The Community That Shows Up Every Year

Some of these businesses have been with us since before we were officially a thing. Others found us this year and jumped in with both boots. All of them showed up and that is everything.

Grocery Outlet Newport has been stocking our bar and outfitting our performers green room year after year with generosity and zero fanfare. They hire our people, support our community, and show up every single time. We are so grateful.

Yachats Community Presbyterian Church has been with Yachats Pride from the very beginning, before we were official, before we had a name, before any of this was what it is today. Every year they donate the food and labor for our Sunday community picnic. Their commitment to equality and their open arms to the LGBTQIA+ community is a reminder that allyship is not a word, it is an action. They have been acting on it for nearly a decade.

To every business, organization, and individual, thank you. You make the difference between an event and a community.
